Earlier this month, I did a week of posts about SUFFS: The Musical, the white feminist reclamation project playing on Broadway. This week is the official opening of the show (Thursday night) and so I’m collecting those posts here.

The TL;DR version of all these posts is that this musical is a real danger because it’s an ideological project meant to reclaim white feminism from the challenges to it from intersectional feminists, from the brief season of being called “Karens,” and from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s defeat in the presidential election (she’s one of the producers), even as a majority of white women voted for Trump.
And, in case you’re over on the TikTok machine, I’ve started a little series there with short takes on the show, and the trouble with white feminism more broadly. You can find me there as: jessie_nyc8.
